Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Overkot desktop application or visiting the overkot.com website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Overkot is a free, third-party desktop overlay companion application for the game Soulframe, developed by Digital Extremes. Overkot provides overlay widgets including boss timers, crafting timers, faction standing trackers, an interactive world map, a group finder, and a wiki search. Overkot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Digital Extremes Ltd.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. License and Usage

Overkot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Overkot desktop application for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the application
• Redistribute or resell the application
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass any security features or access controls
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

5. Intellectual Property

The Overkot name, logo, website design, and application code are the property of the Overkot developer ("Avakot") and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

"Soulframe" and all related game content, names, and trademarks are the property of Digital Extremes Ltd. Overkot is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Digital Extremes.

6. Group Finder Conduct

When using the Group Finder feature, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information in your listing
• Treat other users with respect
• Not use the feature to spam, harass, or deceive others
• Not create fraudulent or misleading listings

We reserve the right to remove listings and restrict access to the Group Finder for users who violate these guidelines.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The information provided by the overlay will be perfectly accurate
• The Service will be compatible with all systems or future game updates

Game updates by Digital Extremes may temporarily or permanently affect Overkot's functionality. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee it.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Overkot and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Third-Party Content and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services (such as Discord, Patreon, and the Soulframe Wiki). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
